Pentland Brands launches with Patchworks iPaas

Pentland Brands, one of the world’s leading brand management companies, has successfully launched a new integration architecture on Patchworks, delivered in close partnership with fusefabric.

The initial rollout includes Mitre and Kickers, both of which went live ahead of the critical Black Friday and Cyber Monday trading period, with further Pentland brands scheduled to follow. The project establishes a repeatable, scalable integration model designed to support Pentland’s broader multi-brand portfolio as it continues to grow.

Building a repeatable integration model for multi-brand scale

Operating a multi-brand retail portfolio introduces complexity fast — particularly when brands share core systems but require flexibility at the edge. Pentland’s approach focused on creating a robust, standardised integration foundation that could be reused and extended as new brands are onboarded.

Working closely with fusefabric, the team designed a brand-agnostic architecture using Patchworks as the integration layer — ensuring consistency, resilience, and speed of deployment without sacrificing control.

This model allows Pentland to:

  • Launch new brands faster using proven integration patterns

  • Reduce long-term technical debt

  • Maintain flexibility as platforms, volumes, and requirements evolve

A modern integration stack built for reliability and peak trading

The implementation makes full use of Patchworks’ retail-first capabilities to orchestrate data flows across a complex ecosystem, including:

  • AI scripting for intelligent flow control and exception handling

  • Microsoft SQL Server connectivity to support database-driven operations

  • Shopify integrated with SAP Process Orchestration for core commerce and ERP workflows

  • Twilio for real-time operational notifications and alerts

By combining these components, the team delivered an integration setup that is resilient under peak load, highly observable, and ready to support future automation initiatives.

Crucially, the architecture was proven in production during BFCM — one of the most demanding trading periods in retail — validating both its stability and scalability.
