Overview
When brands seek to scale fast in the US, they turn to SoldThrough, a rising player in full-stack eCommerce enablement. But driving seamless sales across top online marketplaces like Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, and Nordstrom takes more than merchandising logistics. It calls for smart, flexible digital infrastructure. To keep up with rapid growth and streamline frequent client-to-marketplace onboarding, SoldThrough partnered with Patchworks retail-first iPaaS and MRE Digitalto modernise its legacy systems with a powerful iPaaS integration layer built for speed and scale.
Gearing up for growth
SoldThrough helps international brands launch and build in the US retail ecosystem without having to have a physical presence. Acting as merchant of record for its clients, the company manages everything from compliance and fulfilment logistics to customer service and backend systems.
Using eCommerce and WMS/3PL systems to connect to established third-party marketplaces, SoldThrough delivers a seamless, end-to-end commerce experience that connects its clients directly to American consumers. Its model is built to help brands move faster, expand wider, and scale smarter.
“We’re not just helping brands sell, we’re enabling them to compete at scale in one of the world’s biggest consumer markets. To optimise our systems, we weren’t just looking for integration, we wanted an engine to accelerate growth while reducing operational complexity”
Dan Cate
CEO & Co-founder, SoldThrough
The integration challenge
As SoldThrough rapidly expanded across multiple online marketplaces, its existing tech stack, built on multiple proprietary connectors, began to show its limits. Syncing issues at low inventory levels meant that orders sometimes had to be entered manually, creating operational friction.
Order processing was sluggish, with data syncing only once an hour or more, leading to delays in fulfilment. Lack of visibility across systems made troubleshooting slow and difficult, while limited API capabilities forced the team to rely on cumbersome file uploads for inventory updates. On top of that, different platforms handled different flows. This fragmented setup made scaling both time-consuming and inefficient.
“While we were still able to deliver great service to our clients and their customers, the systems weren’t talking to each other in the most efficient way. To truly optimise our business, we wanted everything in one place, flexible, transparent, and future proof,” according to Dan.
Solving workflow disconnect
To support its fast-paced growth, SoldThrough needed a way to unify its increasingly complex system architecture. Using Patchworks integration as a platform solution (iPaaS), SoldThrough’s integration partner, MRE Digital, was able to build a flexible, scalable platform that eliminates manual tasks, accelerates order processing, and sets the stage for onboarding new marketplaces in weeks, not months.
Originally scoped for just two flows (orders and inventory), the project quickly evolved into a five-flow integration encompassing:
- Inventory Management: Direct inventory updates are converted into EDI files and uploaded.
- Unified Visibility: All logs, flows, and errors are monitored in real time through the Patchworks dashboard.
- Scalability Templates: Modular-based flows are quickly replicated, enabling SoldThough to onboard new marketplaces at pace.
“Limitations within the legacy tech-stack meant we had to get creative. For instance the inventory flow is technically EDI, it’s a file transfer, not a REST call. With Patchworks, we were able to pull everything off, seamlessly connecting systems, speeding processes and future-proofing the setup.”

Results were immediate
The Patchworks-powered solution delivered measurable value in just weeks, not months.
Topline results included:
- Order sync time cut from hourly to every 15 minutes, improving fulfilment speed.
- Manual tasks eliminated, especially low-stock order errors.
- Inventory accuracy improved via direct integration.
- One system to manage all flows, increasing visibility and operational control.
- Faster delivery, lower costs: The project beat internal deadlines and avoided extra platform fees.
“If we built this custom, it would’ve taken months and added significantly more cost. With Patchworks, we were live in weeks, and ahead of schedule while keeping outlay and fees to a minimum,” states Ritesh.
“Everything now lives in one place. We can see logs, make changes, and scale fast without chasing multiple vendors. This is a real gamechanger for the team. It lets us optimise our resources much more efficiently and ensures transparency and accuracy for our clients.” enthuses Dan.
Supporting future ambitions
With the foundation in place, SoldThrough is preparing to expand Patchworks remit to connect additional systems and automate more workflows. By doing so it will be able to fully retire legacy connectors and onboard new marketplaces using copy-and-launch flow templates. With a well-orchestrated platform powered by Patchworks iPaaS, the business can now scale to hundreds of flows, all managed via one centralised platform.
And this is just the start. As SoldThrough accelerates marketplace onboarding and connects more international brands with US consumers, it’s now powered by a future-ready integration strategy, built to scale as boldly and dynamically as its ambitions.
Dan concludes, “This isn’t just an integration project, it’s a strategic leap forward. Partnering with Patchworks and our trusted integration expert, MRE Digital, is helping us remove friction, unlock speed, and build the kind of infrastructure that empowers us, and our clients, to grow without limits.”
